In-Situ Remediation

Reduce your environmental impact and your expenses with unique in-situ remediation methods from Vertex.

Unlike the traditional “dig and dump” approach in which soil is excavated and disposed of off-site, Vertex uses injection technology to introduce reagents directly into the ground — leaving the surrounding landscape intact.

Our injection process is:

  • Faster and more effective than traditional remediation methods (such as pump and treat)
  • Up to 75% less expensive than excavation and off-site disposal
  • Considerably less disruptive to site operations
  • Used in place of building demolition or foundation underpinning
  • Green technology / Sustainable Remediation – lower carbon footprint than excavation

Vertex has completed over 1,000 remedial injections into various porous and fractured media including glacial tills, fluvial deposits, fractured sedimentary and igneous settings as well as karst environments. Our senior staff each have 10 to 25 years of experience in soil and groundwater remediation. We are considered Canada’s leading in-situ remediation expert.
